Rock legend Ozzy Osbourne's US tour has been disrupted after he was forced to enter hospital suffering from a "knotted vein" in his leg, a spokeswoman from his management team said.
In a statement released over the weekend, they said the former hellraiser had a "minor outpatient procedure" at Denver's Rose Medical Center and was "doing well".
The 58-year-old, who is currently headlining the annual Ozzfest tour, has been released from hospital and is scheduled to take the stage in Missouri tonight with his band.
The singer shot to fame in the 1970s as lead singer with heavy metal group Black Sabbath.
He recently released his first album of original new material for several years.
Osborne's legendary live performances have been notorious since he bit the head of a dove during a concert.
Earlier this month, he became the first musician to be honoured on the Hollywood-style Walk of Fame in his home city of Birmingham.
Osbourne has had his share of health problems, battling drug and alcohol abuse throughout his music career. He also nearly died in December 2003 following a quad bike accident.
Meanwhile, Osbourne's daughter Kelly, 22, is to make her West End debut in the musical Chicago as prison matron Mama Morton.
She will be the youngest actress to take on the role, which has also been played by singers Alison Moyet in the stage production and Queen Latifah in the film.
She came to fame through her family's reality TV show on MTV, The Osbournes, and joins the cast at London's Cambridge Theatre for a seven-week season from 10 September
